Sophie lives on Mercer Island, lived for ten years in London, studied in Florence, and grew up on Malta.

Since winning a full scholarship to study Fine Art at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, Italy from 1990 to 1995, her work has been selected for The Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition in London, and she has exhibited in solo shows in Malta and London, and group shows in Italy, the UK and Seattle.
