Juror Frank Eber has chosen 80 watermedia paintings out of 527 entered into Northwest Watercolor Society’s (NWWS) 85th International Open Exhibition. Entries came from Brazil to Bulgaria, Alaska to Arizona, Washington to Wisconsin, Montana to Maryland and the states/countries in between. A truly international exhibition that will be on view at Yuan Ru Art Center, 12737 Bel-Red Road, #100, Bellevue, Washington 98005 from November 8 to December 1, 2025.

Eber, who grew up in Europe and apprenticed with Italian master painter Renato Casaro in the 1990s, has been jurying prestigious art exhibitions since 2013. “I employ a practical judgment as show juror. Do the paintings share geniune feelings and ideas? These are “Together” by Svetlin Sofroniev from Sofia, some of the things I look for. And this show Bulgaria; watercolor 16x16” has it all.” The show includes 20 figurative/portraits, about the same number of landscapes and the rest are still lifes and abstracts.
