Emily Wang was born in Houpu, Jincheng Township, Kinmen. An entrepreneur by profession, she is also a poet and painter who has never abandoned her literary and artistic aspirations. Now based in Taiwan, she manages Yan Jing Enterprise Co., Ltd. and is currently pursuing graduate studies at the Department of Fine Arts, National Taiwan Normal University.
Wang is actively involved in the literary and artistic communities. She serves as: · Executive Director of the Chinese Literature and Art Association
· Director of the Republic of China New Poetry Society
· Publisher of the Qiankun Poetry Society
· Member of both Taiwan Poetry Society and Genesis Poetry Society · Director of the Taiwan Literature Development Foundation
· Secretary-General of the Kinmen Overseas Students Association
Wang’s artistic philosophy blends poetry and painting:
"Painting represents the real, while poetry evokes the imagined. Between the tangible and intangible lies the inspiration for my creations—connecting, separating, and re-linking different images to form new relationships."
She unifies oil painting and modern poetry, using emotional intuition as the core of expression. Through implicit meanings and layered imagery, she conveys a poetic world where words are limited but meanings are endless, striving to materialize abstract concepts through visual language.
