I am delighted to have the opportunity to participate in the *Island Landscapes | Spring Exhibition – Seeking the Colors of Spring in Taiwan.*
After graduating from high school in March, I came to Taiwan from Japan, and my very first impression of Taiwan was the warmth of its spring sunlight. This year marks my 34th spring in Taiwan. The spring landscapes I have witnessed over the years, though seemingly unchanged, have taken on new meanings and emotions each year, shaped by my age and state of mind.
This time, I attempted to paint my impression of Taiwan’s spring, as if reliving my journey through time in this land. Carried by the wind, infused with time and memory, these moments accumulate into a gentle and beautiful existence.
