Born in Keelung in 1991, Yi-Mei Hsiao specializes in oil painting. Her subject matter is based on the study of the body. She sets herself up as an experimental object and explores her own self, female image, social perception and identity. Through the exploration of the possibility of the human body, from fantasy to reality, she strives to break through the self-conformity, and transform into a projection focused on self-consciousness, through the self-physical metaphor of the personal life history imprint.
