Born in Taoyuan in 1993, Ying-Syuan Huang uses "flowers and grass" plants as her creative theme. Her inspiration comes from observing plants in her daily life, and referring to the plant illustrations and texts preserved over the historical past. Her works includes medicinal plants, indoor plants, natural plants, and imaginary plants. The transformation of the original idea gives different interpretations to the shapes and colors of plants. In the process of creation, plants act as a medium to evoke personal inner emotions and life experiences, re-examine and adjust inner emotional states, and it become a way of self-healing.
